Commemorating the 20th anniversary of Reformasi in Indonesia, this retrospective event is an attempt to review and reflect on human rights enforcement in our beloved country. This event highlights the 1998 disappearance cases which happened during the said period through a movie screening and a book discussion featuring prominent panellists. The Sea Speaks His Name (Laut Bercerita) is an influential novel written by an acclaimed writer, Leila S. Chudori who is known for her wit, captivating writing and keen interest in socio-political theme of Indonesian history. Do not forget to bring your own novel as there will be a book signing by the author herself!
