We talked with Festival Ambassador of 100% Manusia Film Festival, Lucky Kuswandi, Indonesian filmmaker whose works have been screened in several international film festivals. Lucky shared about his perspective on Human Rights and how he define the word “Journey”.

Ananda Sukarlan

Ananda Sukarlan was born in Jakarta in 1968. He went to Europe when he was 17 and graduated summa cum laude in 1993 from the Royal Conservatory of Den Haag under the guidance of Naum Grubert. Until now he has written works for orchestra, chamber music, film music and solo instruments, but it is his production for voice(s) such as art-songs, opera, choral works and theatre works that consolidated his high reputation as a composer. He was a prizewinner of many international competitions and performed in many overseas festivals.

Ananda was the first Indonesian artist who established the cultural relations with Portugal after the diplomatic relationship between two countries was re-established, by performing as a soloist with the Portuguese National Symphony Orchestra in the year 2000. He is a founding member of the Indonesian Classical Music Foundation & Jakarta Conservatory of Music as well as of the MUSICA PRESENTE, The

Dream Team of Spanish Music. He is listed in the book 2000 Outstanding Musicians of the 20th century and The International Who’s Who in Music, published by the International Biographical Centre of Cambridge.
